Welcome.
My photographic journal started back in 1973 when I was gifted a Pentax 35mm film camera. I shot a lot of B&W and eventually I had my own darkroom. Soon I was submitting my work to my school newspaper and yearbook.
There was a long hiatus of not having a camera. Then cameras started showing up on our mobile phones. My love for photography was sparked again!
In March of 2020 I was walking through BestBuy and purchased an open box Sony a7ii with a kit lens. It was not long before I was ready to upgrade everything!
I work in tech and have done web development both on the design side as well as the code side, so I was fairly comfortable with the Adobe Suite of tools. But on the artistic side of photography I had a lot to learn!
In an effort to become a better photographer I have spent many hours watching YouTube videos, reading instructional guides as well as attending online classes and seminars.
I enjoy landscape and wildlife photography and have started to explore B&W, astro and video. I joined the IEPC to broaden my exposure to other types of photography.
